Turning a horizontal video into vertical for Reels, TikTok or Shorts is two jobs: making the sequence 9:16 and keeping what matters in frame. The first is a setting; the second takes work.

Sequence › Auto Reframe Sequence makes a copy of the sequence in the ratio you choose and writes Position keyframes by following motion in the picture. You can correct the result in Effect Controls. Because it follows motion, it does not decide by who is speaking in a scene where two people sit still.
In wide shots with several people talking, Sylba finds the faces, builds a 9:16 virtual camera for each person and cuts to the speaker by reading lip movement. When someone moves, the framing follows smoothly. You can also show everyone at once in stacked strips.
Keep captions and important text away from the top and bottom edges; the app interface covers them. Scaling a horizontal source up to vertical lowers resolution; work from a 4K source when you can.
Captions and Graphics are free. macOS and Windows.
