Installing Sylba, step by step.

Sylba is a Premiere Pro extension (.zxp), also called a plugin. Installation takes a few minutes; the panel downloads components such as the speech engine by itself on first use, so you don't install anything else.

How to install Sylba in Premiere Pro

  1. Download the packageGet the macOS or Windows package (.zxp) from the Download section of the site.
  2. Drag it onto ZXP/UXP InstallerDrop the .zxp file on the ZXP/UXP Installer window; the extension is installed.
  3. Restart Premiere ProIf Premiere is open, quit it completely and open it again.
  4. Open the panelWindow › Extensions › Sylba.
  5. Sign inSign in with your free Sylba account. The panel shows a code; confirm it on the site and the panel opens.
  6. Download the componentsCaptions downloads the speech engine once on first use. It is not downloaded again on later updates.

Requirements

Premiere Pro 2022 or later

Sylba runs only in Adobe Premiere Pro.

macOS

Intel and Apple Silicon.

Windows

Windows 10 and 11.

Internet

Needed for first setup and for the Pro sections; the free sections work offline after setup.
