How to add automatic captions in Premiere Pro

Open the panelIn Premiere Pro, open Window › Extensions › Sylba and go to Captions.
Select your clip and generate captionsSylba transcribes the speech and times the words.
Choose your pathAnimated captions, SRT or Dynamic Text.
Review and styleFix the text, pick a ready-made style and mark the words you want to emphasize.
Send to the timelineThe captions are added to your sequence in one click.

Common questions

How do captions arrive on the timeline?

Animated captions are added as graphics on a separate video track; if you choose SRT they go to Premiere's own caption track.

Can I change the caption font and color?

Yes. Font, color, outline and highlight color are set in the panel, and you can use the fonts installed on your computer.
